Job summary

CIBC US in Chicago seeks a Director, Real Estate Management to lead strategy, planning, delivery, and ongoing management of the corporate real estate portfolio across the United States.

You will oversee real estate transactions, workplace planning, design, construction, facilities operations, lease administration, and vendor partnerships to ensure our spaces support business needs today and into the future. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on client and team member experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of leases, contracts, construction documents, building operations, and financial analysis.
• Professional credentials such as IFMA, BOMA, or CoreNet are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead US corporate real estate strategy, portfolio management, site selection, and lease management.
• Direct workplace design, space planning, architecture, furniture, and interior fit-out, from planning to delivery.
• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations and vendor management, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, financial reporting, lease administration, and vendor payments.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Technology, Security, HR, and enterprise real estate teams for governance and approvals.
