Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in the United States is seeking a Director, Construction to lead large-scale data center projects, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and top-quality standards. You will oversee day-to-day execution, mentor regional PM teams, and coordinate with General Contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years in construction management of multi-hundred-million to billion-dollar ground-up builds, with strong financial acumen and experience

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction management experience, including delivery of large-scale data centers or comparable complex projects.
  • Experience with ground-up, core and shell, utility, sitework, and fit-out projects ($500M+ preferred).
  • Strong client-facing skills with ability to influence outcomes and build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage construction projects across the region, ensuring budgets, schedules, quality, and safety.
  • Act as primary liaison with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication.
  • Review, track, and forecast project budgets and schedules; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional project management staff.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, EH&S, Finance, Operations to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Prepare and present reports and analyses for senior leadership, clients, and partners.

Data runs on STACK.THE POSITION:The Director, Construction plays a critical role in delivering large-scale, complex data center projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Construction, this role will oversee day-to-day project execution, provide leadership to project teams, and ensure alignment with STACK’s operational and strategic objectives.The ideal candidate has significant experience leading multi-million to billion-dollar ground-up construction projects, including turnkey data center campuses, and thrives in fast-paced environments. The Director will serve as a key interface between general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring project success through collaboration, communication, and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Project Leadership: Direct and manage construction projects across the region, ensuring accountability for budgets, schedules, quality, and safety.Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary contact with general contractors, owner-direct vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.Budget & Schedule Oversight: Review, track, and forecast project budgets, cost reports, and schedules; identify risks and mitigation strategies.Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop regional project management staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional STACK teams (Engineering, EH&S, Finance, Operations) to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to maintain delivery commitments.Reporting: Prepare and present reports, updates, and analyses for senior leadership, clients, and partners as required.Culture & Standards: Champion a culture of safety, quality, professionalism, and innovation across all projects.THE DETAILS:Location: Shreveport, LATravel: Domestic travel required, up to 20%Benefits: Healthcare, Dental Care, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Paid Leave ProgramsMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust pass comprehensive background and drug screeningMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:10+ years of construction management experience, including delivery of large-scale data centers or comparable complex, fast-track projects.Proven success in managing ground-up, core and shell, utility, sitework, and fit-out projects ($500M+ preferred).Strong client-facing experience with the ability to influence outcomes and build lasting relationships.Deep knowledge of construction management tools and practices (contracts, schedules, budgets, payment applications, risk management, etc.).Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and BIM platforms (preferred).Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage cost controls and reporting.Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients and senior leadership.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (advanced degree preferred).THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You do not get flustered easily.
