Job summary

Flagship Labs 111 Inc. (FL111) seeks a Director/Senior Director, Computational Chemistry in Cambridge, MA to spearhead heterobifunctional small-molecule design and optimization.

You will guide structure-based modeling, develop computational workflows, and mentor a world-class team across chemistry, biology, and in vivo pharmacology. The role requires a PhD with 10+ years in computational chemistry and leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related discipline with 10+ years of industry leadership.
• Deep expertise in computational medicinal chemistry and structure-based drug design.
• Ability to drive actionable molecular designs and mentor scientists.
• Experience using cheminformatics tools for design, analysis and prioritization.
• Strong leadership and communication to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with heterobifunctional small molecules (e.g., PROTACs) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision for heterobifunctional small molecule design and drive strategy.
• Lead cheminformatics and develop internal computational workflows.
• Direct ADME and developability assessment across programs.
• Champion structure-based and AI/ML modeling to inform design decisions.
• Partner with chemistry, biology, and in vivo teams and represent growth of computational chemistry.
