Honor is seeking a Director of Risk & Compliance Operations to transform our compliance function into a proactive enabler of growth. You will lead a 5–10 person team, partner with Product and Engineering, and own end‑to‑end licensing and regulatory readiness across markets.

We value strategic leadership, analytical rigor, and the ability to translate complex rules into scalable operational practices. This remote‑first role supports expansion while maintaining top quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in operations, product operations, or compliance roles in tech‑first or high‑growth settings.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Proven ability to build scalable processes, systems, and teams that anticipate problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Preferred: employment law compliance, home care or healthcare regulation, state licensing, multi‑state environments.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for Compliance Operations across markets and licensing.
• Continuously assess compliance risk and streamline operational friction.
• Own day‑to‑day compliance execution, building durable systems and protocols.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver tech‑enabled compliance solutions.
• Lead state licensing audits and audit‑readiness programs end‑to‑end.
• Ensure readiness for new markets and service offerings.
• Translate regulatory changes into executable operational requirements.
• Develop and coach a 5–10 person compliance/operations team.
• Own key compliance metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility.
