Santa Rosa Rancheria is seeking a Director of Community Development in Lemoore, CA. The role leads Community Development, Cultural Services, and TEPA, setting strategic direction and overseeing budgets, staff, and programs.

You will coordinate planning initiatives, infrastructure, and land-use projects, while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong partnerships with tribal and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as specified by the Tribal Administrator.
• Minimum five years in community development, environmental protection, or related field.
• Minimum three years in supervisory, program management, grant management, or budgeting.
• Experience with Tribal governments or Native communities preferred.
• Ability to integrate Tribal cultural values into programs.

Responsabilités

• Direct programs, staff, budgets, and work plans for Community Development, Cultural Services, and TEPA.
• Develop long-range strategies, policies, budgets, contracts, and grant applications aligned with Tribal priorities.
• Oversee Cultural Services programs, events, language preservation, and community partnerships.
• Coordinate with Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and others for cultural resource protection.
• Lead TEPA environmental programs across land, air, water, and natural resources.
• Ensure compliance with tribal, federal, and state requirements; liaise with agencies and partners.
• Supervise staff, manage equipment and monitoring systems, and handle scheduling.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and community events.
