Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Communications leader to drive planning, development, and implementation of communications strategies supporting Immunology priorities, patient access, and reputation outcomes.

The role leads product communications for the dermatological and rheumatological indications of TREMFYA, ICOTYDE, and nipocalimab, and develops messaging aligned with business priorities within Johnson & Johnson's Immunology portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of communications, public relations, advocacy, or related experience.
  • Pharmaceutical experience required.
  • Proven experience managing high-profile company and/or product brands, emphasizing reputation and issues management.
  • Experience leading direct reports, with demonstrated leadership and development capabilities.
  • Strong communications skills, including writing, messaging, and executive-ready briefing support.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments with strong judgment and influencing skills.
  • Experience supporting external stakeholder engagement and integrated campaign execution with cross-functional teams.
  • Up to 15% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, development, and implementation of communications strategies supporting Immunology business priorities, patient access, and reputation outcomes.
  • Lead product communications for the dermatological and rheumatological indications of TREMFYA, ICOTYDE, and nipocalimab.
  • Develop and implement product communication strategies and plans aligned with business priorities and J&J's Immunology portfolio.
  • Lead development and finalization of key messages, branding, and communication materials.
  • Support broader Immunology Communications strategy and planning with internal and Global CPA partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, patient advocates, advocacy groups, and industry partners.
  • Lead communications preparations for product milestones and maximize stakeholder engagement using data and analytics.
  • Coordinate public affairs approaches for medical congresses, regulatory milestones, and leadership/campaign opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted communications partner to product leadership teams and Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs stakeholders.
  • Coordinate connections across the Communications ecosystem and identify opportunities while mitigating issues.
  • Lead and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Oversee one direct report.
  • Report to the Senior Director, Communications & Public Affairs, US Immunology.
