Job summary

The California Endowment is seeking a Director of Communications & Civic Information Infrastructure to lead statewide strategies, investments, and partnerships. This hybrid role requires guiding community infrastructure and narrative power to advance health and racial equity across California.

Reporting to the VP, Strategic Communications, you will oversee a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with external partners to expand civic participation and durable community power throughout the

Qualifications

Ability to apply a systems perspective to identify root causes, interdependencies, leverage points and opportunities.
Deep understanding and commitment to equity, justice, and community-centered approaches that strengthen civic participation, leadership development, and community voice.
Proven ability to build, steward, and leverage relationships across community organizations, philanthropic peers, and public-sector stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Leads the development, implementation, and refinement of the community infrastructure strategy.
Operates Learn→Build→Strengthen→Lead framework through strategic investments and initiatives.
Designs and advances grants, investments, and partnerships with measurable outcomes.
