Job description

Company Description

Arc is the lead shopper and retail agency within Publicis Groupe. In an era of unprecedented disruption, where the customers you seek actively resist brands like never before, everything we do is in service of making your brand irresistible. We call it Irresistible Commerce. And it starts by employing insights and data to uncover what’s standing in the way of growth. Then we deploy irresistible creative solutions to build connected shopping experiences that are personal, valuable and delightful for your customers. The results simultaneously drive brand sales and love. Helping us become WARC’s #1 Specialty Retail Agency with groundbreaking work recognized by Adweek, ANA Reggie Awards and Effies.

Job Description

You will be a part of a best-in-class commerce experience practice, pulling from the leading minds within Publicis Groupe s media agencies (Publicis Media, Spark, Starcom, and Performics).

This role will be critical in building distinct and industry-defining commerce media strategies at Arc while leveraging the tools and knowledge across Publicis Groupe. You will work cross-functionally with Arc s business leadership, strategy, creative/content, data/technology, and analytics teams to create commerce media solutions for major retail environments and omnichannel commerce ecosystems.

The ideal candidate understands how to navigate the dynamic and rapidly evolving commerce media landscape. You are a versatile media expert who specializes in building and advising on retail media strategies across search, onsite media, DSPs, and national media integration.

Utilizing your deep knowledge and experience across retail ecosystems, you will be responsible for integrating the appropriate media vehicles to deliver holistic marketing strategies that drive business outcomes including share growth, household penetration, and ROI.

The ideal candidate also has experience communicating with and presenting to executive-level stakeholders on a regular basis. You are able to conduct meetings and presentations, collaborate on marketing strategies, and influence cross-functional teams and partners.

The role demands a passion for educating internal teams on retail media capabilities and developing strategies that bring broad-reaching awareness channels and conversion-driving tactics into harmony while considering factors such as frequency, creative strategy, and consumer experience. The ideal candidate wants to lead and foster a collaborative and inclusive environment for all cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

You’re both a builder and connector by nature who thrives in a collaborative environment with an eye to problem-solving. You have an inviting personality that can effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences. You are passionate about the business & media and constantly looking for ways to innovate to improve and drive growth. A confident communicator who can break down complex data, details, and activation nuances for the internal teams and our clients. You have a proven track record of developing integrated strategies and plans which have resulted in incremental growth for your clients.

  • Experience & expertise doing retail strategy, tactical planning and partner management in the discipline of retail/shopper marketing, within an agency, retailer’s media organization or CPG’s trade or customer marketing department; 10+ years preferred, but not required
    • If no experience, willing to self learn, dig in from day 1 and seek answers through asking questions
    • Preferred buy not required: experience & expertise in retail media channels
  • Current knowledge of Shopper Marketing (digital & traditional)
  • Clear understanding of first, second, and third-party data and how to apply it within the commerce strategies; specifically, how to integrate key insights from an audience strategy into addressable media plans within a holistic integrated ecosystem
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related media field preferred
  • Strategic thinker in the development of commerce media strategy and management of day-to-day business
  • Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, drawing out insights & implications, and developing insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Sound decision‑making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
  • Leadership experience both in direct reports and cross team leadership
