The Director of Workforce Planning provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for clinical workforce strategy within the UT Southwestern Health System, aligning staffing, skill mix, and resource allocation with organizational goals. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing workforce analytics, forecasting, and planning models to ensure optimal staffing across the continuum of care. Additionally, this role provides oversight of the implementation and optimization of Health System Nursing’s Virtual Care platform, ensuring its integration into care delivery and alignment with strategic initiatives. The Director partners with clinical leadership, human resources, and operational leaders to optimize clinical workforce utilization, improve staff experience, and support patient‑centered outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, workforce planning, or nursing leadership.
(RN) REGISTERED NURSE – Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas required if candidate’s background is nursing.
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Experience with workforce analytics platforms, predictive staffing models, and/or virtual care program management.
