Protagonist Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader for Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics to steer PK/PD analyses across early to late-stage studies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive model-based decision making, and contribute to regulatory submissions.

The role emphasizes on-site work in Newark, CA, four days per week, with a focus on advancing portfolio programs and mentoring scientists within the department.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in pharmaceutical or pharmacology-related discipline or quantitative sciences.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in clinical development or quantitative sciences.
• Experience with clinical pharmacology programs supporting first-in-human and late-stage development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed org.
• Strong scientific background with regulatory interactions and publications.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidance related to clinical pharmacology and PK.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of integrated clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics and model-informed drug development activities across all stages.
• Provide scientific and strategic leadership for population PK, PK/PD, exposure‑response, and PBPK modeling to support dose selection and regulatory interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute clinical pharmacology plans.
• Mentor clinical pharmacology scientists and foster scientific excellence within the department.
• Develop quantitative plans to support development of pipeline projects and regulatory submissions.
