Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead study-integration delivery across programs and regions.

  • Ensure production-readiness of technical components before first patient visit.
  • Oversee decommissioning with audit-ready documentation.

  • Set technical strategy; translate objectives into roadmaps and outcomes.
  • Govern governance forums; communicate status, risks, and decisions.
  • Define and manage SOWs/SLAs/SLOs; monitor providers.
  • Champion risk-based computer system validation and inspection readiness.
  • Coordinate audits, responses, and action plans.
  • Build business cases; define OKRs/KPIs and dashboards.
  • Act as design authority for data collection, flows, and validation.
  • Mentor team; improve agile, testing, and automation practices.

Job description

  • Lead a team and provide portfolio-level oversight of study-integration delivery across programs and regions
  • Serve as senior technical authority by approving high-impact designs, governing standards at scale, balancing demand and capacity, and driving automation and operational excellence
  • Own integrated plans from design through closeout across in-scope studies; synchronize releases and dependencies
  • Ensure technical components are production-ready before first-patient-first-visit and monitor status and quality before and after release
  • Oversee decommissioning and archival with complete, audit-ready documentation
  • Lead critical or high-risk studies and cross-program integrations
  • Set program or therapeutic-area technical strategy and translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and outcomes
  • Participate in governance, present recommendations and trade-offs, and communicate status, risks, and decisions to sponsors and governance forums
  • Define and manage SOWs, SLAs, and SLOs; monitor service-provider delivery and accountability
  • Champion risk-based computer system validation and inspection readiness
  • Coordinate internal audits, including evidence, responses, and action plans
  • Build business cases, prioritize initiatives, define OKRs/KPIs and dashboards, and track realized value
  • Act as design authority for data collection, flows, integrations, and validation patterns
  • Provide consultancy on data architecture, metadata, and cross-system interoperability
  • Mentor and coach team members; review plans and specifications and improve agile, testing, and automation practices
  • Sponsor communities of practice and reusable assets/templates; lead strategic improvement initiatives and introduce new processes and technologies
  • Set objectives, assign work, conduct check-ins and reviews, coach performance, recognize contributions, and develop career plans
  • Lead recruiting and hiring and oversee performance management and sensitive employee-relations matters with HR
  • Coordinate onshore, offshore, and contingent resources and ensure effective handoffs
  • Manage the operating budget and optimize spend
  • Represent the function in internal and external forums
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years experience in the relevant field, including 3 years of people management experience and deep subject matter expertise; OR Advanced Degree (Master’s or Doctorate) with a minimum of 8 years experience, including 3 years of people management experience and deep subject matter expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to review and approve complex designs and integration patterns; optimize mappings, error handling, and data lineage
  • Deep knowledge of data capture, aggregation, consumption, and flow
  • Ability to independently lead study-level design/build/test/release and author or peer-review specifications, including eCRFs, edit checks, and mappings
  • Strong hands-on experience with clinical data management systems
  • Working proficiency across multi-system data flows and API-based or file integrations
  • Understanding of clinical, data, and sponsor standards
  • Demonstrated success managing large and geographically distributed teams
  • Strong understanding of operational, financial, and compliance dimensions of global data delivery
  • Ability to lead transformation initiatives and foster innovation across complex organizations
  • Excellent communication and ability to translate technical and operational priorities into clear, actionable direction
