Job summary

OptumCare in California seeks a Clinic Coordinator Operations Director to lead the central clinic operations team, supporting visit preparation, patient outreach, quality, risk, and coordination across markets. Travel weekly to southern and occasionally northern California offices is required.

You will design scalable workflows, drive KPI improvements, and partner with regional leadership to align operations with HIPAA standards and national protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing high-performing teams in ambulatory care or clinical operations.
• Experience in ambulatory care delivery and clinical operations management.
• Lean training and process improvement experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory and market trends in Risk Adjustment and HEDIS; translate insights to actions.
• Design scalable, compliant workflows aligned with national standards.
• Lead Clinic Coordinator workflows and coach staff.
• Develop quarterly performance acceleration strategies.
• Oversee dashboards and analytics to drive improvements.
• Manage resource deployment to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to prioritize initiatives.
• Develop policies ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Present performance updates to senior leadership.
• Partner with People Team to build career paths.
• Coach new Supervisors in leadership and accountability.
