Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact and project manager for a portfolio of live events.
  • Develop and manage event operations, timelines and deliverables.
  • Take ownership of all facets of bringing an event to life.
  • Responsible for all event logistics from RFPs to contracting.
  • Coordinate communication between various departments for flawless execution.
  • Manage event budget and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Traffic creative for on-site event materials.
  • Manage on-site set up and production on day of event.
  • Assist content team with production or speaker/sponsor needs.

Job description

The Hill is seeking a Manager of Client Engagement responsible for project management and logistics for its growing events portfolio.

This position will report to the Vice President of Events and collaborate with a dynamic, dedicated team of events, sales and marketing professionals to execute a variety of in-person and virtual thought leadership events.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary point of contact and project manager for a portfolio of live events
  • Develop and manage event operations, timelines and deliverables, communicating internally and externally with white glove service
  • Take ownership of all facets of bringing an event to life, including establishing processes that create a smooth client journey
  • Responsible for all event logistics, from RFPs to contracting venues to vendors for rentals, catering, security and aspects of production
  • Coordinate communication between various departments of The Hill to ensure flawless event execution
  • Manage event budget and negotiate and route vendor contracts
  • Traffic creative with internal, client and venue for on–site event materials and supplies, such as signage, backdrops and sponsor materials
  • Manage on-site set up and production on day of event, from sponsor needs to vendor logistics
  • Assist content team on day of program with any production or speaker/sponsor needs

Ideal candidates should have 5+ years’ experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing.

Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 based upon experience
