Job summary

Alcon's John s Creek, GA manufacturing location is seeking a Director of Chemical Production Operations to lead the department with strategic planning, resource management, and regulatory compliance. You will drive performance and operational efficiency by fostering cross-functional collaboration and a culture of excellence at our facility.

Responsibilities include overseeing ingredient processing, GMP adherence, project approval, and maintaining quality through statistical control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school + 18 yrs; Assoc. + 14 yrs; M.S. + 7 yrs; PhD + 6 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 10 Years of Relevant Experience
• 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
• Location: Onsite
• Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chemical Production Operations department, developing and implementing strategies for success.
• Oversee the processing of ingredients and pharmaceutical products, including contact lenses, and work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various products.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Make key departmental decisions, manage resources, and approve projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
• Stay current with industry advances and apply agile problem‑solving techniques.
• Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods and enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.
• Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management and talent development, driving associate engagement, recognizing achievements, and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Ensure all associates adhere to GxP regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Commit to continuous improvement and contribute to organizational compliance.
• All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
• Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
