Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking an experienced leader to manage strategic business applications and the global IT/BizApps team. You will oversee platforms such as Veeva, Benchling, and SAP, guiding end-to-end implementations and ongoing application management in a fast-growing biotech environment.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in business systems, international experience, and a background in CRM/ERP/HCM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage strategic business applications and oversee global team.
• Ensure processes run on platforms such as Veeva, Benchling, SAP.
• Lead implementations and oversee application management structure.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timeliness and quality of services.
• Support IT compliance and audits with artifacts.
• Provide handover training for IT support engineers.
• Intake/new essential business applications and vendors; orchestrate service processes.
• Oversee 2nd and 3rd level support; escalate as needed.
• Lead maintenance, communications, installations and improve IT documentation.
• Collaborate with Implementation Manager for proper handover from implementation to support.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and manage strategic business applications; oversee the global Business Applications team.
• Ensure business process runs smoothly in platforms such as Veeva, Benchling, SAP, and adjacent systems.
• Manage on average 1 large business application implementation; oversee overall application management structure.
• Lead configuration, change, quality & (automated) testing, release management, and operational support for strategic IT/business applications (e.g., ERP, ELN, contract lifecycle, QMS, DMS, LMS, RIMS, eTMF, CTMS, CRM, MedComs, PromoMats).
• Oversee vendor relationships to ensure timeliness and quality of business applications services and maintain business continuity.
• Support IT compliance and regulations by providing artifacts/evidence for audits.
• Define and provide handover training on procedures/work instructions for IT support engineers.
• Intake/onboard new essential business applications and vendors; orchestrate application service processes.
• Manage second- and third-level support; elevate to external support when needed.
• Lead platform/application activities (planned maintenance, communications, installations) and improve IT documentation/process descriptions.
• Collaborate with Implementation Manager and IT Business Analysts to ensure proper handover from implementation to application management/support.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years business systems application management; 5+ years in large-scale business application implementations.
• Proven ability to manage diverse computer systems/integrations; manage application engineers/specialists; make teams more efficient/value-driven.
• Experience in an international organization.
• Background in large business applications (CRM, ERP, HCM).
• Project management skills.
• Experience managing SoX and/or GxP compliant systems.
• Ideally pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.

Salary Range: $205,000–$265,000
