What you will do:

As the center of gravity for brand engagement, the Brand & Consumer Engagement Lead is responsible for the strategic leadership of Advocacy, Influence, and Organic Social for the brand, developing and implementing a comprehensive GTM strategy across paid, earned and owned media that aligns with brand vision and challenges the status quo.

This person keeps community at the core to build affinity and advocacy for the brand, building and nurturing relationships with influencers and brand advocates, fostering authentic connections that drive advocacy and loyalty. They ensure that the professional point of difference remains the foundation of all campaigns, creative, and content.

They are fueled by creativity – thinking outside the box to deliver innovative ideas and strategies that are disruptive and attention-grabbing to ensure the brand stands out from competition. This creativity is woven into storytelling, allowing them to create or partner with the divisional storytellers to create engaging narratives that deeply connect with target audiences, utilizing the right influencers and partners to amplify and strengthen brand messages.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Partnerships: Fostering partnerships and leading integrated marketing esp. cross-industry that align with brand equity and both short-term & long-term brand goals.
  • Trendspotting: Identifying and staying ahead of emerging social media and influencer trends to ensure we are moving at the speed of culture.
  • Turning Data Into Action: Champion a performance mindset, setting clear KPIs and measurement for all programs and leveraging data to optimize performance and maximize ROI.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing team to maximize performance and business results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agency Orchestration: Influence and collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including brand marketing, sales, media and global DMI teams. Manage relationships with external agencies and partners.
  • Compliance: Ensuring appropriate management and enforcement of LUSA practices across all areas of advocacy.
  • Budget Stewardship: Oversee and manage allocated budgets for all PR, social media, influencer marketing, and related activities. Optimize resource allocation for maximum campaign impact to demonstrate efficiency. Ensure division and finance has visibility into spend, impact, and plans.
  • Connection: Drive connection between the pro and consumer, building power duos to push the professional point of difference with consumers and drive desirability among pros.

Core Digital Skills Required:

  • Advocacy Strategy Design: Defining the right advocacy strategy to reach a specific target audience and determining the most effective messaging, communication channel and appropriate advocates.
  • Influencer Management: Identifying, recruiting and maintaining relationships with third-party advocates to enhance the visibility and reputation of an organization/brand.
  • Creative Thinking: Generating new ideas, untried approaches, methods or opportunities to create high added value.
  • Consumer Understanding: Understanding holistic consumer needs and aspirations in their human and social context.
  • Briefing: Providing concise and relevant information to an individual or a group in order to prepare them for a task or situation and obtaining the desired outcome.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience in an influencer marketing and/or social strategy leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record for growing brands through impactful influencer, social and PR programs.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and the influencer landscape.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Existing influencer relationships are a plus.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for the beauty industry.
