Penn State College of Medicine seeks a non-tenure track, faculty clinical veterinarian to become Director, Animal Resource Program (ARP) and Chief, Division of Comparative Medicine. The role is on-site in Hershey, PA, reporting to senior leadership within the Department of Surgery.

The incumbent will lead regulatory compliance, veterinary care, and translational collaborations, directing a multi-discipline team and steering AAALAC accreditation efforts while advancing biomedical research goals.

Qualifikationen

• DVM/VMD or equivalent.
• ACLAM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Eligibility for veterinary licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated leadership in a comparative medicine or laboratory animal program.
• Experience in veterinary clinical and emergency care and in vivo methodology.

Aufgaben

• Provide regulatory compliance oversight for AAALAC accreditation and IACUC activities.
• Lead veterinary clinical services, preventive medicine, and colony management for research animals.
• Collaborate with investigators to support model development, protocol preparation, and grant submissions.
• Oversee financial/operational planning, staffing, and program expansion within ARP.
• Provide academic leadership and faculty mentorship within the Division of Comparative Medicine.
