The Director, AI Product Management – Knowledge Products is responsible for driving the end‑to‑end development and delivery of AI‑ready Knowledge Products—specifically AI models and agents—from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization. This role translates business knowledge needs into actionable product and technical requirements, leads product discovery and validation efforts, and defines success metrics to evaluate product impact, knowledge quality, reuse, and adoption.

Unlike Product Managers within the Digital Product Management organization, this role treats firm knowledge as a reusable AI product—owning the strategy, quality, governance, and lifecycle of Knowledge assets that power multiple downstream experiences rather than discrete applications.

This role centers on strategy, discovery, and value framing, working closely with each Business and Functional area to identify high‑value knowledge domains, define reusable Knowledge Products, and determine how trusted, well‑governed knowledge can improve AI‑enable experience across their domain. Digital Product Managers will often serve as customers of the AI Knowledge Product Manager by integrating these knowledge products into user‑facing experience. Digital Product Managers will remain accountable for the execution, delivery, and lifecycle management of AI capabilities within products and portfolios. The Director, AI Product Manager, partners closely with Digital’s Product Management teams to ensure enterprise AI knowledge products can be easily integrated, adopted, and leveraged across the firm.

This role ensures the adoption of responsible AI practices and compliance with regulatory expectations, while clearly communicating progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders. Working in collaboration with colleagues in EJ Labs, Engineering, Data, Product Management, Experience, and the respective Business and Functional areas.

The Director, AI Product Manager, Knowledge ensures that AI‑ready knowledge products deliver measurable value, remain trusted and current t through ongoing monitoring, and support firmwide strategic objectives through shared knowledge capability development. The role acts as a connector throughout the full product lifecycle—navigating ideation, discovery, delivery, adoption, and iteration.

This position sits within the Knowledge Lab inside EJ Labs, with a focus on creating and maintaining reusable AI knowledge products, rather than building one‑off or front‑end solutions. EJ Labs AI Product Managers own reusable knowledge capabilities, primarily governed knowledge domains, curated corpora, metadata, and content standards —that are consumed across multiple products, with EJ Labs and Digital Product teams serving as primary customers who integrate these knowledge products into user‑facing experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Translate business needs into clear and actionable technical requirements for reusable AI‑ready Knowledge Products and governed knowledge capabilities.
  • Lead product discovery, validation, and iterative improvement processes with a focus on how AI‑ready Knowledge Products will be consumed across search, copilots, agents, applications, tools, and internal teams.
  • Define and track product success metrics specific to knowledge quality, freshness, reuse, adoption, retrieval performance and business impact.
  • Conduct research and engage internal customers to identify high‑value knowledge domains, content gaps, authoritative sources, and opportunities for reusable Knowledge Products.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive the development and delivery of reusable Knowledge Products, ensuring that capabilities are not one‑off builds, but governed, trusted, measurable products designed for consumption across multiple AI and digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in EJ Labs, Engineering, Data, Product Management, Experience, and the respective Business and Functional areas teams to curate, test, deploy, and refine new knowledge products and ensure alignment with enterprise AI standards.
  • Communicate product progress, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Conduct market and user research to understand demand for reusable Knowledge Products, identify high‑value knowledge domains and content needs, and anticipate AI‑ready knowledge enhancements.
  • Monitor and evaluate Knowledge Product quality, freshness, usage, retrieval performance, and user feedback, implementing refinements as needed as part of ongoing product lifecycle management and governance.
  • Actively shape the definition and evolution of Knowledge Product vision and strategy in partnership with business and technology stakeholders to drive measurable business impact and outcome‑oriented delivery.
  • Translate business goals, user insights, knowledge domain needs, content trends, and AI‑readiness requirements into Knowledge Product roadmaps, themes, initiatives, epics, and user stories—informing prioritization and hypothesis generation in collaboration with partners.
  • Support Knowledge Product delivery, adoption, and business impact through influence and collaboration, reinforcing outcome ownership while navigating shared accountability.
  • Collaborate with product leadership, delivery partners, and enabling teams to support resource coordination, delivery execution, and risk management across Knowledge Product delivery teams.
  • Partner closely with the Product Management organization, who serve as consumers of EJ Labs’ AI‑ready Knowledge Products, to align reusable knowledge capabilities to downstream product needs.
  • Curate, test, certify, and refine AI‑ready Knowledge Products, ensuring quality, freshness, governance, explainability, and functional integration with a broad set of consuming systems and applications.
  • Own the lifecycle of Knowledge Products—including versioning, freshness monitoring, certification, usage tracking, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure EJ Labs’ AI‑ready Knowledge Products can be consumed by low code agents, mini applications, applets, and other internal tooling used across the firm.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, product management, knowledge management, information science, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years’ experience in product management includes translating business and knowledge needs into technical requirements and leading product discovery and validation.
  • 3+ years' experience in AI, enterprise knowledge management, search, content strategy, data products, or AI‑enabled product development.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, enterprise knowledge ecosystems, AI‑ready content and financial services.
  • Product operating model methodologies, including Knowledge Product lifecycle management and AI driven PDLC.
  • AI technologies and their applications in knowledge discovery, enterprise search, copilots, agents and business workflows.
  • Metrics and frameworks for tracking Knowledge Product quality, freshness, reuse, adoption, retrieval performance, user feedback, and business impact.
  • Responsible AI practices, content governance, entitlement management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • User experience (UX) principles and their integration into AI‑enabled knowledge discovery, workflow guidance, and product capability design.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Product Management, Knowledge Management, Information Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in AI product management, enterprise knowledge management, search, content strategy, or data product management, with a focus on responsible AI practices and regulatory compliance in a financial services context.
  • Financial services industry practices and regulations.
  • Emerging trends in Knowledge as a Product, enterprise search, retrieval‑augmented generation, agent‑ready content, and AI‑powered knowledge workflows.
  • Data and knowledge governance, metadata strategy, taxonomy, content lifecycle management, and integrity management.
  • Risk management and compliance in AI‑enabled knowledge products, authoritative source designation, content governance, and reusable knowledge capability development.
  • Analytics and reporting techniques for tracking Knowledge Product health, adoption, retrieval performance, and business impact.
