Job summary

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation seeks a leader to advance AI-native advising for students transitioning to postsecondary education and work. You will oversee investments, governance, and partnerships, stewarding middleware-enabled navigation platforms across institutions and sectors.

You will shape strategy, engage major cloud and education tech providers, and drive scalable, equitable solutions with a focus on impact across diverse student communities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Entrepreneurial track record standing up or scaling a new unit.
• Product and platform-building experience for AI-native software.
• Experience engaging with enterprise technology providers.
• Investor perspective with complex investments.
• Foresight and balancing rapid experimentation with strategy.
• Knowledge of postsecondary advising landscape and data systems.
• Ability to align teams in matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, negotiate, and manage grants/contracts for AI-native advising solutions.
• Lead investments to stand up and steward a new or existing organization that bundles navigation public goods.
• Develop distribution strategy across enterprise platforms and channels.
• Engage with enterprise technology providers to integrate navigation solutions.
• Monitor governance and partner health for sustainable scale.
• Identify gaps in product availability to guide investments.
