Job summary

Socure is seeking a forward-thinking AI leader to drive the next generation of document verification and biometric solutions. You will own the data science strategy across document understanding, facial biometrics, and reusable identity systems, guiding a team to build foundation-model driven, agentic architectures.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in CS/EE/ML and 10+ years in data science or applied AI.
• Deep expertise in computer vision and multimodal AI with VLMs.
• Proven experience building domain-specific foundation models and large-scale representation learning.
• Strong understanding of biometric systems incl. face recognition, liveness, anti-spoofing.
• Experience detecting deepfakes, presentation attacks, and counterfeit documents.
• Strong knowledge of agentic system design and deployment of autonomous/human-in-the-loop agents.
• Experience with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch; ability to engage with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the data science vision for document verification, biometrics, and reusable ID; improve accuracy, speed, and UX.
• Lead and scale a high-performing team of data scientists and researchers.
• Architect and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision and multimodal systems, including VLMs.
• Drive development of foundation models tailored to identity, documents, and biometrics.
• Lead transition to agentic systems that can reason over signals and automate verification workflows.
• Advance fraud and attack detection, including deepfake and presentation-attack detection.
• Design secure, robust systems resilient to prompt injection and adversarial attacks.
• Leverage vector databases for identity linking and similarity search.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Risk to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
• Drive rapid experimentation and deployment with reliability and explainability.
• Own customer communication and executive-level stakeholder management.
