AXIOM | TECHNOLOGY & TALENT

Axiom is redefining how legal departments combine exceptional talent and technology in an AI-enabled world. Our Technology & Talent team partners with legal, legal operations, procurement, and IT leaders to design practical solutions that bring together expert talent, technology, and managed delivery.

We are looking for an AI Client Solutions Director to play a pivotal role in Axiom's AI solution conversations with clients. This is a senior, client-facing individual contributor role within Axiom's Technology & Talent team. The person in this role will have significant influence with clients and internal stakeholders, while also partnering with the head of Legal Engineering.

The right candidate will bring credibility, curiosity, and commercial judgment to help clients move from AI interest to responsible, measurable adoption—connecting business priorities, legal workflows, and technology requirements in a way that feels practical and actionable.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a senior client-facing AI subject matter expert within the Technology & Talent team, leading discovery, advisory, and solution-design conversations with clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across legal, legal operations, IT, security, procurement, and AI program teams.
  • Translate client priorities into practical AI use cases, solution requirements, implementation plans, and value cases.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Delivery, Product, Technology, and Legal Talent colleagues to shape compelling proposals, pilots, and scalable AI-enabled solutions.
  • Design solution approaches that combine Axiom talent, client technology ecosystems, AI tools, process redesign, governance, and managed services.
  • Guide technical and operational conversations with client IT, security, privacy, procurement, and architecture teams.
  • Assess AI vendors, platforms, and client environments to recommend practical options aligned to client needs and Axiom's capabilities.
  • Contribute to executive presentations, workshops, demonstrations, technical exchanges, and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Help build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, use-case libraries, and client-facing collateral that improve the speed and quality of AI solutioning across Axiom's Technology &Talent.
  • Serve as a visible voice in the corporate legal and legal-innovation community, representing Axiom in industry panels, forums, and other external engagements focused on in-house legal teams.
  • Advise client legal innovation and knowledge-management teams on AI transformation strategy, rollout, AI policy, adoption, and measures of success.
  • Lead and deliver strategic client projects that advance practical AI adoption within legal departments, partnering with relevant internal subject matter experts and delivery teams.
  • Partner with Value Engineering and commercial colleagues to develop practical ROI frameworks and value narratives for in-house legal teams.
  • Develop and publish market-facing analysis and executive content that advances Axiom's point of view on AI-enabled legal services and the future of corporate legal.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in AI, enterprise technology, digital transformation, legal technology, consulting, solutions architecture, or a related client-facing technical field.
  • Experience leading client conversations on AI, data, automation, enterprise technology, or technology-enabled transformation.
  • Strong working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, workflow automation, and enterprise AI deployment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and credibly with both executive business stakeholders and technical IT audiences.
  • Experience translating business problems into requirements, solution designs, implementation plans, and success measures.
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology environments, including APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud platforms, identity and access management, security, and vendor risk processes is preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Responsible AI, data privacy, AI governance, security, and risk-management considerations.
  • Strong commercial judgment, executive presence, facilitation skills, and ability to bring structure to complex cross-functional work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with corporate legal departments, legal operations teams, alternative legal service providers, or legal technology providers.
  • Experience engaging directly with CIO, CTO, CISO, procurement, enterprise architecture, or legal operations functions.
  • Background in AI implementation, product management, solutions consulting, enterprise architecture, technical pre-sales, or managed services.
  • Experience developing AI pilots, business cases, adoption strategies, change-management plans, or vendor evaluations, with any related public articles or thought leadership published externally.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Law, or related field. Juris Doctor degree preferred.
