Responsibilities

• Serve as Corporate Facility Security Officer with enterprise Industrial Security Program responsibility.
• Provide strategic leadership for all Industrial Security functions across facilities and programs.
• Develop and maintain enterprise security policies and procedures aligned with government requirements.
• Liaise with DCSA, government customers and security representatives on security matters, inspections, and investigations.
• Lead personnel security operations: clearance management, onboarding/offboarding, visit certs, indoctrinations, and debriefings.
• Direct protection of classified and CUI information: receipt, storage, transmission, marking, destruction, and inventory.
• Oversee physical security operations: accreditation, access control, visitor management, alarms, and secure storage.
• Establish security education and Insider Threat Program to promote compliance and awareness.
• Lead internal self-inspections, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and non-compliance with executive communications.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Legal, HR, Contracts, Facilities, and PM to integrate security into operations.
• Advise executives on risks, regulatory changes, and security posture strategies.
• Develop budgets, staffing plans, and security technologies for effective program execution.
• Mentor and lead Industrial Security professionals and plan succession.
• Represent the organization in industry and government forums to stay current on regulations.

Job Description Summary:

The Director 1, Corporate Facility Security (Corporate FSO) provides strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of the organization's enterprise Industrial Security Program, ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DCSA requirements, and all applicable U.S. Government security regulations. Serving as the designated Corporate Facility Security Officer, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving corporate security policies, procedures, and compliance programs that protect classified information, personnel, facilities, and critical assets across the enterprise. The incumbent serves as the company's principal authority on industrial security matters and partners with senior leadership, government customers, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), prime contractors, subcontractors, and internal business stakeholders to ensure mission success while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Director 1, Corporate FSO leads enterprise-wide Industrial Security operations, including personnel security, physical security, classified document control, visitor control, security education, and security compliance programs, while fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) with overall responsibility for the organization's enterprise Industrial Security Program and compliance with NISPOM, DD Form 254 requirements, customer directives, and applicable federal regulations.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all Industrial Security functions across multiple facilities and classified programs, ensuring consistent implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise security policies, standards, and operating procedures that align with government requirements, contractual obligations, and corporate objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison with DCSA, government customers, and security representatives on all industrial security matters, inspections, assessments, investigations, and compliance activities.
• Lead and oversee personnel security operations, including clearance management, onboarding and offboarding of cleared personnel, visit certifications, security indoctrinations and debriefings, foreign travel reporting, and administration of DISS and other government security systems.
• Direct enterprise classified information protection activities, ensuring proper receipt, accountability, storage, transmission, reproduction, marking, destruction, and inventory of classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Provide executive oversight of physical security operations, including facility accreditation, access control systems, visitor management, alarm systems, classified storage, construction security, and proprietary or contract guard force operations.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive security education, awareness, and Insider Threat Program that promotes organizational accountability, regulatory compliance, and a culture of security across all levels of the company.
• Direct enterprise security self-inspections, internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews while ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous program improvement.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, violations, compromises, and non-compliance matters, ensuring appropriate reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and executive communication.
• Partner with Information Security, Cybersecurity, Legal, Human Resources, Contracts, Facilities, and Program Management to integrate security requirements into business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Advise executive leadership on emerging security risks, regulatory changes, compliance trends, and operational impacts while recommending strategies to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, staffing plans, security technologies, and resource allocation to ensure effective and efficient program execution.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and lead Industrial Security professionals, establishing performance expectations, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
• Represent the organization in industry working groups, government forums, and professional security organizations to remain current on evolving regulations and best practices.

Skills/Abilities:

• Possess or obtain FSO certification (curriculum for possessing facilities via DCSA) within 6 months of hire.
• Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and industrial security principles.
• Excellent written communications, aptitude for details, strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with maintaining and administration of security databases, to include Defense Information Security (DISS) and Security Information Management System (SIMS) database desired.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management (or related field) is required.

Experience:

• Requires 5 years of DoD and security management work experience supporting classified contracts and government programs.
• Minimum of 5 years serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), Corporate FSO, Senior FSO, or equivalent security leadership position.

Additional Job Description:

Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Current in scope Top Secret security clearance is required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000.00 - $320,000.00
