Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to determine bore paths and safely operate drilling equipment for underground telecom cables, ensuring utilities are accurately potholed and bore design is followed.

Based in Maple Grove, MN, this full-time on-site position requires working in all weather, performing equipment maintenance, and meeting schedules; the company provides weekly pay, PTO, insurance options, a 401(k) with match, and education reimbursement to support

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (not provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore design/setup processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities

• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Authorization to work in the United States for this company

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it

• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator Maple Grove is $24.00 - $35.00 .
