Job summary

A leading utility construction firm is seeking Directional Drill Operators and Locators for their Williamsburg, VA operation. The candidate should hold a valid CDL-A, have experience with underground utility installations, and be willing to travel. Responsibilities include operating directional bore equipment and assisting site supervisors. Competitive starting pay of $28/hour along with comprehensive training, health insurance, 401k, and profit sharing is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) is highly preferred.

Description

Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a Directional Drill Operators and Locators for our Williamsburg, VA operation.

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for operating directional bore equipment for underground utility construction
• Will be assisting foreman and/or supervisors with all duties
• Will be responsible for operating trenchers, plows, backhoes, and bobcats
• Will be required to operate tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws when needed
• Will also work in the field with the crews completing work

Requirements & Qualifications

• Candidates that hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) highly preferred
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)
• Must have previous knowledge and experience of underground utility installations
• Ideal candidates will have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
• Ability to communicate with Teammates
• Willingness to work and follow directions
• Willingness to travel a plus

Starting pay $28 / hour dependent upon applicable experience and certifications.
