Job summary

TelCom Construction LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator Foreman to lead on-site drilling operations for OSP facilities, ensuring safe, accurate installations and coordination with crew members.

You will read engineering drawings, determine bore paths, operate heavy drilling equipment, and manage site setup and risk controls. The role requires 3+ years of bore operations and a valid CDL A with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• 3+ years operating drill bores equipment in telecom/construction.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead site Job Safety Analysis and coordinate drilling operations.
• Read engineering drawings and documents for OSP facilities.
• Operate and control drilling equipment to complete tasks.
• Determine bore paths and locate utilities with accuracy.
• Schedule and maintain equipment and tooling and manage site setup/cleanup.
• Address property owner concerns and document work.
• Work in all weather conditions as required.

At TelCom Construction, LLC, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator Foreman, you’ll oversee and coordinate the drilling operations for telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring efficient and safe installation of cables and equipment. You'll serve as the on-site expert, offering guidance and support to less experienced team members.

What you’ll do

• Lead new site Job Safety Analysis
• Read engineering drawings, prints and technical documents for OSP facilities
• Draw prints or sketches and provide field notes describing OSP facilities
• Safely operate and control all equipment necessary to complete tasks assigned to crew
• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Ensure accurate drilling and utility protection
• Schedule, maintain equipment & tooling, and perform site set-up and clean-up
• Resolve property owner complaints and document work
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• At least 3 years of experience operating drill bores equipment within the telecommunications or construction industry

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Foreman Maple Grove is $32.00 - $45.00.
