Job summary

Cable Services Company Inc. in Andover, MN is seeking an experienced directional bore operator to support cable installation projects. The role involves loading, operating, and maintaining bore equipment, locating utilities, and placing cables according to blueprints.

Candidates must have a Class A CDL and at least one year of directional boring experience. Willingness to travel weekly and work outdoors in varying weather is required.

Qualifications

One year of experience operating a directional borer preferably in the telecommunications field.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications.
Ability to work in various environments with moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

Load and unload directional bore equipment in a secure, damage-free manner.
Transport tools, materials and equipment safely.
Complete daily inspections on bore equipment before use.
Locate/operate the directional drill to place cables with bore heads and back reamers.
Operate horizontal directional drill equipment per standards.
Identify utilities and verify with blueprints.
Dig pits, trenches or potholes as needed; restore disturbed areas.
Document timesheets, vehicle logs, and expense reports per company procedures.
