Job summary

A First Name Basis (AFNB) is seeking Direct Support Workers in Maynard, AR to provide in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules with compensation of $12 per hour, plus overtime opportunities for eligible shifts.

You will assist with personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments, while documenting care and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and valid ID.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background check and drug screen).
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation; assist with feeding as needed.
• Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in client health and well-being.
• Travel reliably to client homes across the service area.
• Complete required in-service training upon hire and annually.
• Follow written care instructions and document services provided.
