Job summary

Advocates in the United States (MA, Grafton) is seeking Direct Support Staff to provide hands-on support to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Starting rate is $18.50/hour. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 am–2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in human services or with similar populations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Commitment to supporting diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living activities and routines.
• Support individuals in goal setting and participation in community activities.
• Document observations and progress.
• Maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, SOLVE, HR/DPPC).
• Ensure dignity and respect in alignment with Human Rights policies.
• Provide physical intervention in crisis situations when necessary.
