Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Arroyo Grande, CA, is hiring a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will advocate for clients and help implement IPP/ISP goals.

Responsibilities include daily routines, personal care, meals, transportation if needed, and incident reporting. Requires 21+, driver’s license, and background clearance. Positions available as full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• California Driver’s License required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Background check will be completed prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in IPP.
• Support IPP/ISP goals and residents' needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment for clients.
• Accompany clients to visits, activities, and social events; encourage socialization.
• Assist with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
• Pick up/drop-off clients in company vans if necessary.
• Report incidents and communicate with administrators daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
