Job summary

Help at Home is seeking caring, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. We offer weekly pay, flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for career growth.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide one-on-one support to help individuals build daily living skills and live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, either primary or secondary coverage.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands-on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
