Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. The role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and community involvement in a supportive home and community setting.

The position is full-time with a 2nd shift schedule (3pm-10pm, or 7am-7pm on weekends) and a pay range of $15.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Support self-advocacy and assist with personal choice and decision-making.
• Accompany individuals to work, movies, concerts, shopping, and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills and provide transportation to appointments.
• Foster positive relationships within the community and support decisions about living, work, and relationships.
• Assist with personal care, home chores, and maintain confidentiality.
• Document care provided and educate on rights and protections.
• Connect individuals with resources for career, education, or volunteering opportunities.
