Job summary

BLISSFUL LIVING HOME CARE LLC in Elyria, Ohio is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join a growing team. DSPs provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings, supporting daily living activities, personal care, and community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in direct care or related fields preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
• Medication Administration Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting and meals.
• Support development of independent living skills and community participation.
• Administer or assist with medications per policy.
• Document health conditions, behaviors and progress in records.
• Complete daily notes, medication records, and incident reports.
• Facilitate community integration and recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Follow ISPs and agency procedures; communicate with team and families.
• Transport clients to appointments and events as needed.
• Respond to emergencies ensuring safety and welfare of individuals served.
