Help at Home is hiring Weekend Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Weekend-only schedules and weekly pay are offered with starting wages up to $17/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities—at home and in the community.

Whatyou’lldo

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP),you’llprovide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities — both at home and in their community — helping them live as independently as possible.

Your work may include:

• Supporting individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care (i.e.grooming, hygiene etc.), or transportation
• Encouraging participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events etc.
• Helpingindividualsachieve personal goals and celebrating progress
• Promoting choice, independence, and self-advocacy
• Accurately documenting care, activities, and progress
• Communicating with team members to ensure consistent, quality support

What you need

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstratedexperience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or autism, including implementingPerson-Centered Individualized Support Plans (PCISPs),high riskplans, and behavior support plans
• Experience using foundationalbehavior supportstrategies such as redirection, visual prompting, and environmental modification.
