Arbor Associates is seeking Direct Support Professionals for weekend shifts in Waterbury, CT. The role provides direct support to adults with behavioral needs, focusing on personal hygiene, daily living activities, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment.

Shifts run Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with pay at $20.00/hr. Training required in North Haven, CT prior to starting, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• Overnight care or residential direct care experience required.
• Ability to provide personal hygiene and ADL assistance.
• Experience supporting adults with behavioral needs is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for adults with behavioral needs—personal hygiene care, ADL assistance, meal prep, mobility, and daily living skills.
• Maintain a calm, steady demeanor throughout interactions, including during challenging moments.
• Engage actively and meaningfully with individuals during every shift.
• Monitor health and behavior, document observations, and communicate updates to staff at shift end.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, person-centered environment upholding dignity and preferences at all times.
• Attend 3 days of required training in North Haven, CT prior to starting work.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality for Arbor and program standards.
