Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Waiver Homes in Raleigh, NC. The role provides support to individuals with disabilities and mental health needs, helping them identify and access services and achieve personal outcomes.

The position requires understanding the individual’s history and goals, working under supervision, and ensuring health and safety during daily activities. Includes driving as needed and a focus on person-centered plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet physical requirements (lift 30 lbs, up to 70 lbs, pull 50 lbs, etc.).

Provides support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community as part of our waiver services. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Implements services and supports to address the person’s goals and desired outcomes as identified through each person’s Centered Plan. Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Relies on direction and supervision to accomplish the job.

We are hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Wavier Homes – Raleigh, NC Salary: $15.00/Hourly Schedule: All Shifts

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with Health and Safety Procedures

Position Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers’ license
• High School Diploma
• Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:
• Regularly required to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
