Job summary

Chimes, a mission-driven nonprofit, seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence at our Newark, DE location. The role is scheduled Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 8a-8p in an on-site setting.

You will provide hands-on support, assist with personal care, follow care plans, administer medications per policy, maintain a safe environment, and promote community engagement in a team-focused

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record requirements: 3+ years unsuspended driving with ≤3 points or 2+ years unsuspended driving with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs.
