Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Virginia to support individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. You will follow individualized plans, assist with daily activities, personal care, and community-based activities in various settings.

No experience is required—paid training is provided. The role offers an evening schedule (Sunday to Thursday, 3pm–11pm) with opportunities to mentor and empower participants toward greater independence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
• Preferred 1+ year experience in a home health aide or school setting with individuals who have IDD.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to assist with daily living activities.
• Aid with daily hygiene and personal care to foster independence.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry; support social and communication goals.
• Mentor, encourage and coach individuals to achieve their goals.
