Job summary

Brandi's Hope Community Services in Gulfport, MS is hiring Direct Support Professionals (Nights) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities. You will support daily living, recreational activities, and community inclusion while maintaining safety and dignity.

Shifts include Thursday 1am–7am and Thu/Fri/Sat 7pm–7am. Salary is biweekly with base + overtime; overtime opportunities on weekends. Applicants need HS diploma or GED, valid driver's license, CPR, and a background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of verifiable work experience in the last three years.
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Must have current CPR training.
• Background check and drug screening prior to employment offer.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with job supports, self-care, recreational activities and community inclusion.
• May transport clients to appointments and accompany them on activities.
• Duties will be discussed with employer and assigned as needed.

Brandi's Hope is looking for a Direct Support professionals. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalency, minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, valid driver's license and pass background checks. Your biweekly salary is $1,045.00 when you complete the minimum 42-hour shifts per week. This includes 6 hours of bonus overtime hours for completing your assigned minimum shifts. If you work fewer than 42 hours, you will be paid based on the hourly rate of $11.00. If you work the maximum 54-hour shift, your biweekly salary will be $1,243.00. Optional overtime shifts are available on Saturdays and Sundays.

This position is for a Direct Support Professional (Nights)
Hours: Thursday 1am to 7am and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7pm to 7am
Duties include, but not limited to: Provide daily support to individuals with varying degrees of development/intellectual disabilities. Will assist these persons within the following areas: job supports, self-care, recreational activities and community inclusion. Depending on need of client a DSP may be expected to transport to appointments, report to work assignment with client as a job advocate or could be assisting with feeding and hygiene. Duties will be discussed with employer.
