Job summary

Brandi's Hope Community Services in Mississippi is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Days) to provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping with job supports, self-care, recreation and community inclusion.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and CPR. Hours are Sunday to Tuesday 8am–8pm and Wednesday 7am–1pm, with optional overtime on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of verifiable work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license to transport clients as needed.
• CPR training and background/drug screening before employment.

Responsibilities

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalency, minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, valid driver's license and pass background checks. Your biweekly salary is $1,092.50 when you complete the minimum 42-hour shift. If you work fewer than 42 hours, you will be paid based on the hourly rate of $11.50. If you work the maximum 54-hour shift, your biweekly salary will be $1,299.50. Optional overtime shifts are available on Saturdays and Sundays.

This position is for a Direct Support Professional (Days)

Hours: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 8am - 8pm and Wednesday 7am-1pm.

Duties include, but not limited to: Provide daily support to individuals with varying degrees of development/intellectual disabilities. Will assist these persons within the following areas: job supports, self-care, recreational activities and community inclusion. Depending on need of client a DSP may be expected to transport to appointments, report to work assignment with client as a job advocate or could be assisting with feeding and hygiene. Duties will be discussed with employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of One (1) year of verifiable work experience in the last three (3) years
• must possess a current, valid drivers license in order to transport clients as needed
• must possess current CPR training
• must submit to an extensive background check and drug screening before employment offer can be made.
