Job summary

NYSARC INC is seeking a full-time Residential DSP Floater for our residential programs located in Albany and Ravena, NY. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, meals, and community activities, with days/hours varying by program needs.

The position is hourly and non-exempt, paying $23.00 per hour plus longevity. A valid driver’s license, AMAP/insulin/G-tube certification if applicable, and ability to transport residents are required. No prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Age 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities and routines.
• Provide cooking, cleaning, and medication assistance as needed.
• Support participation in social and recreational activities in the community.
• Help residents prepare for the day and bedtime routines.

Our residential programs located in Albany and Ravena, NY have a full-time, 40-hour Residential DSP Floater position available. The schedule for this position is days/ hours will vary depending on program needs. The rate of pay is $23.00 per hour + longevity. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, and the Residential Floater DSP must maintain driver insurability as well as AMAP/insulin/G-tube certification (if applicable). DSPs support and care for people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. This can include but is not limited to assisting the people with getting ready for the day or going to bed, cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, and participating in social/recreational activities in the community – and just plain having fun while making a difference!

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
