Under the direction of the Group Home Manager, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Residential provides direct service to individuals, implements Individual Support Agreements (ISAs), and participates in the day-to-day activities of the residents.
Consistently implements each individual's ISA while fostering independence and maximum growth. Participates in all daily routines including, but not limited to, self-care, money management, dining, problem solving, interpersonal, leisure time, independent living, and community outings. Performs medication administration, as assigned. Serves as an advocate for individual clients. Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures while implementing plans of service. Communication with nursing staff as appropriate. Ensure medication accuracy.
Functions as a member of the Group Home team. Attends meetings as scheduled. Implements ISAs as written. Assists in the development of each individual's ISA. Completes required training as assigned.
Accurately enters data, progress notes, monthly summaries, and any/all information related to the operation of the group home as necessary.
Performs general housekeeping activities and cleaning duties as assigned. Delivers consistent approach to ongoing household management, i.e., housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking, ordering supplies, maintenance, and vehicle upkeep. Report any issues with the operation/function of the group home to the Group Home Manager, or DSP Level II in Manager’s absence.
In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.
