Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit hiring Direct Support Professionals in Beachwood/Forked River, NJ. We provide person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour, with paid training and opportunities for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules.

No prior experience is required, and we offer PAID training to help you grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we support.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (required).
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Ability to establish supportive relationships.
Ability to remain calm in crises.
Background checks required (criminal, central registry, etc.).

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to individuals with IDD.
Assist with daily routines (cooking, cleaning, hygiene).
Monitor health and report concerns promptly.
Support development of independent/community-based skills.
Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
Transport individuals to appointments and activities.
Complete program documentation and billing records accurately.
