Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist residents in group homes across the North Shore. You will provide direct care, support daily living activities, and help residents participate in community outings.

Responsibilities include documenting care, administering medications, and ensuring safety and dignity. A valid driver’s license and CPR/FAMAP certification are required; lifting up to 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• CPR/FAMAP certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required for most positions.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for periods of time.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support residents' clinical and social needs.
• Document accurately in logs, health records, and data books as required.
• Foster meaningful community experiences to promote independence.
• Assist with transferring, bathing, grooming and following dining protocols.
• Administer medications per policy and MAPs.

Pay Rate

Estimated 2300hr 2400hr depending on experience and certification FACPR and MAP

Job Summary

To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently Teach support and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities

Major Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving servicesDocument accurately and thoroughly including in Inter Team Communication Logs Health Records Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that fosters skill acquisition relationship building and independence
• Provide hands on support at the home including individualized supports in transferring bathing and grooming and following specific dining protocols and treatments
• Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations
• Support Drs appointments ER and hospital visits and contact on call nursing appropriately
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans
