Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Newark, Delaware. Earn $18/hour and join a mission-driven nonprofit that helps people with intellectual and behavioral challenges live with dignity.

You will provide compassionate, hands-on support, follow care plans, and assist with daily living activities alongside a supportive team. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and travel between programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services is a plus but not required—training provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs as part of daily tasks.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
