Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. You will provide hands-on, respectful support in a team-focused environment and follow individualized care plans.

This role offers paid training, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven nonprofit. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50+ lbs are required; travel between Residential and Day

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services is a plus but training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs as part of daily tasks.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Travel between Residential and Day programs as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands‑on support with kindness and respect

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!)
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license - Meet one of the following driving record requirements? At least 3 years of unsuspended driving history with no more than 3 points, or At least 2 years of unsuspended driving history with a clean driving record
