Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. The DSP will work in a team-focused environment providing compassionate, hands-on support and following individualized care plans.

The role includes medication administration per policy, safe daily living assistance, and opportunities for paid training, benefits, and career growth within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with driving record requirements: 3+ years unsuspended history w/ <=3 points, or 2+ years unsuspended history with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding and daily living tasks.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs.

What You Bring
