Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence at a Dover, DE location.

You will provide hands-on support, assist with personal care, follow care plans, and document progress while maintaining a safe and respectful environment. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50+ lbs are required. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred but training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs.
