Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional Lead to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The DSP Lead will assist with daily activities, including chores, meals, recreation, learning, and fitness, while advocating for individuals served.

The ideal candidate has experience with disabilities, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills; Therap software experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm and dedication to helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities: household chores, meal prep, recreation, learning, and physical fitness.
• Represent the needs and interests of individuals and contribute to program planning and implementation.

Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional Lead (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The DSP Lead will provide support with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities. The DSP will represent the needs, wants, and interest of individuals served or supported by the program, and provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.

Open Positions:

• Job Title: DSP Lead
• Program: Princeton and East
  • Shift: Princeton: Wed-Fri 3p-11p and Sat 7a-11p
  • East: Sun 7a-11p, Mon - Wed 3p-11p
• Pay Rate: $19.50/hr

Our ideal candidate:

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills, experience using Therap a plus!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
