Job summary

The Moore Center in Manchester, NH is seeking a direct support provider to work 32 hours weekly, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, for a young man with Down syndrome. Compensation is $20 per hour.

This role focuses on helping him with morning routines, transportation, and community activities to foster independence. Responsibilities include assisting with his room and movie collection, supporting job tasks, and ensuring safe personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year in human services or health care required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
• Clean criminal, motor vehicle and Elderly/Adult Services background checks.
• Valid driver’s license with 100,000/300,000 liability insurance and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide support getting ready in the morning.
• Assist client in organizing and maintaining his room and movie collection.
• Provide transportation to jobs and community activities.
• Assist with completing his job tasks.
• Support client at Manchester Library and TJ Maxx as part of daily routine.
• Assist with swimming at YMCA and accompany him on activities.
• Be patient and encourage independence.
• Provide some personal care during the day.
