Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Waterloo, IA. The role provides daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live more independently while building meaningful relationships.

Starting pay is $15.25 per hour with a PRN, relief schedule and On-Demand Pay option. You will assist with personal care, transportation, meals, and community participation, delivering patient, respectful care.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent with proof of education.
• Valid driver's license (1+ year, no restrictions) + registered vehicle + insurance.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with transportation, meals, medication reminders, and community involvement to promote independence.
